Legacy of Plains gallery temporarily closed to visitors

Work is underway in our main gallery as we remove walls, install a fire sprinkler system, paint and cure our floors and prepare for the arrival of crates of artifacts from North Platte Valley Museum.

Our visitor center and gift shop remains open during this project. The longhorns are wandering the the field behind the museum, and we are preparing to relocate equipment to the north annex building. There is still plenty to see so come on out. A volunteer committee is busily working on temporary display cases that will reflect the new storyline for Legacy of the Plains.
